LESSONS

So, if you want to learn how to play GUITAR or BASS, you've come to the right place! If you want to learn Piano or Trumpet, you took a wrong turn somewhere - but I can still help you by directing you to others who specialise in that field!

Each of my lessons is on a "One On One" basis, in order to maximize the most from each session, and is individually tailored to suit your needs! Let's face it, Art and Music are highly subjective, and the "One Size Fits All" mentality just doesn't seem to work in this arena! It's for THIS reason that I don't strictly adhere to the more Traditional Syllabus as such, but will still incorporate all the necessary elements of learning how to master these chosen instruments in your lessons!

If you wish to take your studies in a more academic direction, then I will help you prepare for your exams as well, and will advise you of what I believe must be done to achieve those goals! Again, everyone is different, and I understand this! If you want to be a world class virtuoso, I can help steer you in the right direction in order to get there! Alternatively, if you just want to strum songs around a campfire for fun, you won't be needing the same skills as the individual who is chasing World Domination! Everyone is different!

Electric Guitar

Such an amazing, versatile instrument, capable of many genres, yet the basic essence of playing is the same! Knowing your Fretboard, Chords, Scales, and Arpeggios are ALL great places to start, but being able to put these together in a melodic sense is where MUSIC begins!

Bass Guitar

This is probably one of the most under-rated yet vital instruments in music today! If you know how to play in time, lock in with drums, play great lines that complement the song, and above all - make your music GROOVE? You will always be in demand as a musician!

Acoustic Guitar

Found in amost 50% of homes and half of them are gathering dust! It's such a shame for such an instrument! Strip back the greatest songs in the world to their barest foundations, and you can play it on an acoustic guitar! Beautiful ringing chords or fingerpicked melodies, the possibilites with this "portable piano" are endless!
